2017 - 2018 Audition Information

We are so excited for our incoming 9th graders to join the Bobcat Orchestra! The audition process is very comprehensive to ensure that orchestra placements are made for maximum student success. Incoming 9th graders are NOT required to audition.

Students will audition for four orchestra sections: Concert (5-SNVB), Philharmonic (6-SNVA), Symphony (2-NV) and Chamber (1-V). If they choose not to audition, they will be placed in our first period Camerata orchestra.

A rubric based on 200 points will rank students for orchestra placements. Although a students ranking will be the basis of orchestra placements, other factors such as middle school directors feedback, record of eligibility and attendance to concerts, sectionals/etc. will weigh on final determinations.
